The Mourou-Strickland Program

The WorkSafe BC Specific Priorities/Systematic Review grants are designed to address operational need and help answer key questions in occupational health and safety and workers' compensation. These grants support short-term, primary and secondary research of immediate relevance. This research gives WorkSafe BC the strongest scientific evidence to use when developing policy and practice.
The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from the following countries and regions: Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Mexico, Tunisia, United Kingdom, USA, and Ukraine. From May to October of each year, top-ranked applicants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines, from science, engineering and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences.

Individual Fellowships provide opportunities to researchers of any nationality to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in Europe (EU Member States and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries) and beyond. The scheme particularly supports the return and (re)integration of European researchers from outside Europe and those who have previously worked here, as well as researchers displaced by conflict outside the EU and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries. It also promotes the career restart of individual researchers who show great potential.
Request for Research Project Proposals: Calculating the Value of Common Assets and Associated Economic Rents in Canada

Mitacs Globalink Research Award - General Call

The SFU-Mitacs Globalink Research Award supports international research collaboration through the mobility of graduate students (Masters & PhD) and postdoctoral fellows. The award supports short-term internships (12-24 weeks) for both inbound (to SFU) and outbound (from SFU). Priority is given to project proposals that demonstrate potential to lead to long-term and multifaceted research collaborations that advance SFU's strategic interests. The award is CAD $6000 per student (of which, $2000 needs to be contributed by SFU PI). The deadline to submit a project proposal is July 25, 2022.
