The Leaders Prize

The Schulich Foundation's Leaders Prize is an annual, national Canadian competition where teams complete for $1 million to solve a broadly applicable, high value problem using artificial intelligence (AI). It is open to all Canadian residents, including international students.
Each year, the technology and problem themes may change. The year's theme is Fake News, where teams will have one year to develop breakthrough solutions that automatically verify a series of claims, flag whether they are true, partly true or false, and provide evidence to support their determination. Registration is now open and the first deadline to submit solutions is November 18, 2019.
