Idea to Innovation (I2I) Grants
The objective of the Idea to Innovation (I2I) Grants is to accelerate the pre-competitive development of promising technology originating from the university and to promote its transfer to a new or established Canadian company.
Four distinct funding options are available, which are characterized by the maturity of the technology or the involvement of an early-stage investment entity or an industrial partner. Please contact SFU Industry Engagement to discuss development of the proposal.
NSERC accepts applications every 3 months (January, April, July and October). Please check website to confirm future final due dates.
SFU signature sheet due to email@example.com and application in submit mode no later than 3 business days before agency deadline.
Note: The March 30, 2020 I2I application deadline has been postponed to June 22, 2020. The evaluation of I2I applications submitted in January 2020 will not be affected by these changes.
