Transition Accelerator Net Zero Funding Opportunity - 2022 Transition Pathways

The Transition Accelerator, a pan-Canadian registered charity focused on reaching net-zero while solving other societal challenges, is looking to collaborate with researchers across the country interested in developing transformational pathways to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve this, we've launched a research funding opportunity, and will be awarding successful applicants with small grants to support net-zero pathway scoping studies.
About The Opportunity
- We're seeking submissions for projects that can help define credible, compelling, and capable pathways to net-zero across Canada. These projects should be anchored in The Transition Accelerator’s pathways methodology as outlined in our “Building Pathways to a Sustainable Future" report.
- Up to three proposals will be selected and awarded a maximum of $20,000 each. We regard these scoping studies as an entry point to potential long-term collaboration with the Transition Accelerator to fully develop novel pathways.
What We're Looking For
- Applicants must be affiliated with a Canadian university, research institution or think tank. Applications may involve investigators at more than one institution.
- We welcome proposals that apply the Transition Accelerator methodology in domains that fall inside or across our existing priorities, which are outlined here.
How To Apply
- There is no formal application form, but the applicants will need to submit a short project proposal by Monday, May 2, 2022.
- Proposals can be submitted in English or in French
