Crafoord Prize

The Crafoord Prize in astronomy and mathematics, biosciences, geosciences or polyarthritis research is awarded in partnership between the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the Crafoord Foundation in Lund. The Academy invites scientists from all over the world to nominate candidates for the prize. Prizes are given in each discipline based on a rotating schedule. The Academy is responsible for selecting the Crafoord Laureates.
Value: The prize sum of SEK 6 million makes the Crafoord Prize one of the world´s largest scientific prizes.
Note: If institutional nomination/external expert review is sought (individuals may also nominate candidates outside of the institutional process), please submit a candidate suggestion form by the internal deadline to recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes.
