Gruber Prizes

The International Prize Program honours individuals in the fields of Cosmology, Genetics, and Neuroscience, whose groundbreaking work provides new models that inspire and enable fundamental shifts in knowledge and culture. Self-nominations are not accepted. Each prize carries a gold medal and unrestricted cash prize of $500,000 USD.
Eligibility: With the exception of the Rosalind Franklin Young Investigator Award, which specifically supports women researchers, all awards are presented without respect to gender, Canadianity, race, ethnicity, or religious creed.
Note: If institutional nomination/external expert review is sought (individuals may also nominate candidates outside of the institutional process), please submit a candidate suggestion form by the internal deadline to recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes. For more information, please contact awards@sfu.ca.
