Harvey Prize

The Harvey Prize is awarded annually in a variety of disciplines within the categories of Science & Technology and Human Health. The Harvey Prize has also been awarded for Contribution to Peace in the Middle East. Laureates are requested to come to the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology to receive their awards. While in Israel, recipients give lectures and meet with Israeli scientists, academicians, and leaders at Technion and other universities. Material from these lectures is published in a continuing library, the Harvey Prize Papers.
Value: Two awards of $75,000 each are made annually.
Note: These are institutional nominations. Institutional Strategic Awards (ISA) coordinates the internal selection of nominees and/or institutional endorsements/external expert reviews. To promote equity, diversity and inclusion, departments and faculties should ensure that all eligible candidates are considered and given the opportunity to self-identify. To recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes, please submit a candidate suggestion form at least three months in advance of external deadline. For more information, please contact awards@sfu.ca.
