Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize

Each year, since its inception in 1967, the Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize has been awarded by Columbia University for outstanding basic research in biology or biochemistry. The purpose of the prize is to honour a scientific investigator, or group of investigators, whose contributions to knowledge in either of these fields are deemed worthy of special recognition. Self-nominations are not accepted.

Note: If institutional nomination/external expert review is sought (individuals may also nominate candidates outside of the institutional process), please submit a candidate suggestion form by the internal deadline to recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes.
