Raymond and Beverly Sackler Prize in the Physical Sciences

The Raymond and Beverly Sackler International Prizes were established through the generosity of Dr. Raymond and Mrs. Beverly Sackler, visionary patrons of the sciences at Tel Aviv University. The Sackler Prizes are intended to encourage dedication to science, originality, and excellence. They are administered by Tel Aviv University through an advisory committee comprised of the President and Rector of TAU as ex-officio members and others selected by the President and the Rector.

Eligibility: Nominees are outstanding young scientists under 45 years of age by the competition deadline, or within 15 years of completion of the PhD degree.

Chemisry and Physics:  The prize is awarded alternatively in the fields of Chemistry (awarded in even-numbered years) and Physics (awarded in odd-numbered years), and is intended to encourage dedication to science, originality and excellence by rewarding outstanding young scientists, under 45 years of age. The prize value is $100,000. See agency website for the subject to be awarded each year.

Note: If institutional nomination is sought (individuals may also nominate candidates outside of the institutional process), please submit a candidate suggestion form at least three months prior to the external deadline to recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes.
