Laureates represent all fields of environmental and sustainability studies and initiatives. The Prize includes a cash award of SEK 1.5 million (approximately EUR 150,000 or USD 160,000).
Eligibility: The research of nominees should be based on scientific grounds but must clearly show impacts outside of the specific discipline. No self nominations. Anyone can nominate a person for the Volvo Environment Prize.
Note: If institutional nomination/external expert review is sought (individuals may also nominate candidates outside of the institutional process), please submit a candidate suggestion form by the internal deadline to recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes.
