Royal Society of Canada (RSC) Bancroft Award

The award is given for publication, instruction, and research in the earth sciences that have conspicuously contributed to public understanding and appreciation of the subject. It consists of a diploma and is offered every two years if there is a suitable candidate.

Note: There are two routes for nomination: (1) by a Fellow, and supported by two other nominators, or (2) by Institutional Members, supported by two other nominators, neither of whom needs to be a Fellow. Institutional Members may nominate a max. of one candidate for every Medal or Award being offered each year. If an institutional nomination is sought, please contact Institutional Strategic Awards at awards@sfu.ca well in advance of the nomination deadline.
