Royal Society of Canada (RSC) Yvan Allaire Medal

The Institute for Governance of private and public organisations (IGOPP) in partnership with the RSC established the Yvan Allaire medal to honour the exemplary contribution of Yvan Allaire in promoting healthy governance practices in public and private organizations of all sizes. Dr. Yvan Allaire, FRSC, has been President of l'IGOPP since its creation in 2005.

The annual competition typically opens in January and closes in March with an internal deadline in the preceding autumn (deadlines will be reviewed and verified annually).

Note: All nominations must be initiated by RSC Fellows or Institutional Members (IMs). Institutional Members may nominate a max. of one candidate for every Medal or Award being offered each year. Institutional Strategic Awards (ISA) coordinates the internal selection of nominees for institutional nomination. To promote equity, diversity and inclusion, departments and faculties should ensure that all eligible candidates are considered and given the opportunity to self-identify. To recommend a candidate to the President’s Advisory Committee on Awards, Honours and Prizes, please submit a candidate suggestion form by the internal deadline.
