Funding Opportunities: Focusing on Global Strategic Priorities

A key part of SFU’s Strategic Research Plan for 2016-2020 is to expand the university's global impact by leveraging its international presence and interdisciplinary research strengths. Aligning with this global theme, the Tri-Agencies have also established global strategic funding priorities in 2016-2020 to position Canada as a global leader in health (CIHR Framework for International Relations and Cooperation), science and technology (NSERC 2020), and social science and humanities (SSHRC’s Strategic Plan for 2016-2020).

SFU's established international presence and world-class research infrastructure can help you respond to these funding priorities. There are some incredible resources available at SFU:

SFU International: leverage SFU’s network of 2100 institutions in 110 countries around the world.
KEY: SFU’s Big Data Hub: home of Canada’s fastest supercomputer and a great resource to find data tools and research partners
SFU ImageTech Lab: the most advanced brain imaging facility in Western Canada that best supports live imaging.
Innovation Boulevard: leverage SFU’s network of partners and companies in developing intelligent health technology solutions.
