Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) Medals

The Medals award outstanding scientific achievements in all branches of microscopy as well as recognizing the unsung heroes in support and technician roles, along with individuals who volunteer a huge amount of time and energy to the Society. The Medal Series include the RMS President's Medal for Services to the Society and RMS Vice-President's Medal for Microscopy Research and Laboratory Support. There are also medals offered by each Scientific Section of the Society (electron microscopy, life sciences, light microscopy, applied microscopy for materials science, scanning probe microscopy, and the Pearse Prize for cell biology with emphasis on microscopy). Nominations are accepted at various intervals. Check website for latest information.
