J. Allyn Taylor International Prize in Medicine

J. Allyn Taylor, founding Chair of the Board of Robarts Research Institute, was a widely respected Canadian business leader, and a person who, throughout his lifetime, demonstrated a deep regard and passionate involvement in health care matters in Canada. The Prize of $25,000 is awarded annually to one or more individuals who have made significant contributions to a field of basic or clinical research in one of the Institute's principal areas of research. Each year a topic is selected and the scientific community is invited to nominate individual scientists or groups of scientists whose initiatives fall within that particular field of research. A peer jury then deliberates and the prize winner or winners are identified.
