The Governor’s Award provides financial support to academics who are recognized for their expertise and research in areas important to the Bank's core functions: monetary policy, financial systems, currency, and funds management.
Eligibility: Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have obtained a PhD within 10 years of their nomination and be employed in an associate or assistant professor position during the two-year term of the award.
Note: These are institutional nominations. Institutional Strategic Awards (ISA) coordinates the internal selection of nominees and/or institutional endorsements. To promote equity, diversity and inclusion, departments and faculties should ensure that all eligible candidates are considered and given the opportunity to self-identify.
