Fondation Fyssen International Scientific Prize

The aim of the Fyssen Foundation is to “encourage all forms of scientific inquiry into cognitive mechanisms, including thought and reasoning, which underlie animal and human behavior; their biological and cultural bases, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development”. This Prize will be awarded to a scientist who has conducted distinguished research in the areas supported by the Foundation: Ethology, Psychology, Neurobiology, Social Anthropology, Ethnology, Human Palaeontology and Archaeology. It is expected that the applicant would have influenced significantly cognitive sciences at the international level.
